8 – 12 Months

With the engagement still fresh in your mind, eight months to a year away from the big day is typically reserved for the dreaming and conceptualizing phase. From planning out your budget and selecting the perfect venue and date to finding your dream dress, these decisions are some of the biggest you’ll have to make. The picturesque Long Island Wine Region is the perfect backdrop to any wedding celebration. Many of the wineries in the region offer magnificent event space, like Kontokosta Winery, located just up the street from the Harborfront Inn.

5 – 8 Months

Five to eight months away often involves booking the majority of your wedding vendors. From the florist and caterers, to the photographer, videographer and officiant, there are a lot of considerations to be made. Also important at this stage is arranging hotel room blocks to house your out-of-town guests. 1 – 5 Months

During the last big stretch before the “I Do’s,” you’ll be taking care of the less glamourous, but still important pre-wedding tasks. Finalizing the guest list and sending invitations, creating a registry, testing your day-of make-up and hair, and applying for your marriage license are some of the biggest milestones during this stage.

1 – 2 Weeks

Only a few weeks away from the big day and you’ll be dotting the I’s and crossing the final T’s. Confirming the final guest count with the caterer and venue, putting together the seating arrangements, picking up the gown, and taking some time for a little extra R&R are all necessities during this phase of planning.

Day Of

The day you’ve been working toward for the past year is finally here! While it might feel like you need to run around and make sure everything is taken care of, your only job is to enjoy yourself. Your wedding party and team of event coordinators will make sure everything runs smoothly.
