2014 Cabernet Franc Reserve
Savor flavors of dark cherry, white pepper and more
Our first reserve. Refined and approachable. Aromas of dark cherry, white pepper and faint wood smoke. Flavors of red berries, cassis and a hint of earth. Full-bodied with fresh tannins and a dense, full mouthfeel.
2014 was an excellent vintage on Long Island. After the cold winter, bud break came late. June and July were very wet, but the dry prevailed consistently through to harvest. Cool nights alternating with warm days enhanced the color, and allowed for the slow, steady ripening of a bounty of high quality fruit.
