2016 Riesling

2016 Riesling

Indulge in flavors of dried apricot & candied raisins

2016 was a fairly interesting vintage - very dry in the spring and early summer and so hot and humid in July and August. The fall rain presented a challenge in the vineyard but did not materially affect the harvest. Fruit was flavorful, balanced and ripe despite coming into the cellar with slightly lower brix levels than previous vintages.

Medium Sweet (on the International Riesling Foundation scale). Abundant aromas of white peach, pear, and purple clover. Flavors of dried apricot, candied raisins and ripe tropical fruit. Pair with spicy Chinese, Thai or Indian or partner with peach cobbler. Versatile.
