2017 Rose

2017 Rose

Taste aromas of juicy red apples, strawberries & rose petals

2017 was another great vintage for the North Fork. Although marginally cooler temperatures prevailed in May and again in August and early September, October, was unusually warm and spectacular - perfect for harvesting! Rainfall was steady but manageable throughout the summer and there was a nice period of dry weather in the middle of the summer. As always, obsessive management and disease control in the vineyard were important in 2017 as ripening was (in some varietals) almost two weeks later than usual. But flavors developed beautifully with strong Brix and moderate acids. The 2017 harvest produced clean and balanced fruit with outstanding flavors.

A worthy successor to our 90 point (Wine Enthusiast Magazine) 2015 Rose. Aromas of juicy red apples, strawberry and rose petal. Balanced flavors of raspberry, watermelon, and cranberry. Bright and dry with a refreshing finish.
