Welcome to Wine Country
In a little more than 30 years, the Long Island wine industry has grown from one vineyard to over 3,000 acres of vines. The North Fork is home to the majority of these vineyards, most of which have wineries that are open year round for tastings and tours. Come sample some of our award-winning wines and enjoy the bucolic vineyard landscapes.

Hit the Beach
Just a short distance from our Long Island resort, guests can sunbathe and swim at local beaches of the Long Island Sound and the Peconic Bay. Fun-filled water activities include kayaking, boating, windsurfing and fishing. The Harborfront Inn offers guest beach passes for all public parks and beaches in Southold Town.

Stroll Through Greenport Village
The Harborfront Inn is conveniently located in downtown Greenport, among the most historic and inviting of North Fork destinations. Take the time to explore its many unique shops, boutiques, restaurants, art galleries and museums. The inn proudly overlooks Greenport’s Mitchell Park and its antique carousel and an Amphitheater, which is the site of band concerts, dances, theater productions and more. A 60-slip transient marina is conveniently located within walking distance of the inn and all that the village has to offer.

Eat Local
The North Fork is a food lover’s paradise, full of farm stands offering fresh fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants grown right here on Long Island. In addition to fresh produce, visitors can enjoy homemade jams, pies and honey or take part in a Pick Your Own adventure.

Golf, Anyone?
Many scenic golf courses on the North Fork offer world-class fairways, rolling meadows and water views. Just a short distance from the Harborfront is Island’s End Golf Course, a semi-private 6,700-acre course showcasing views of Connecticut and the rocky coastline of Long Island.
